IGlobal University was incepted and founded by Dr. David Sohn with a global vision to provide all human beings with the lifelong learning opportunity to pursue their intellectual, professional, and spiritual development and growth. Dr. Sohn is a scholar and practitioner; he is a scholar and educator with over 10 years of experience in teaching and research; he is also practitioner with 25 years of experience in creating and managing international IT companies as a CEO/manager/entrepreneur. Based on his expertise, Dr. Sohn founded IGlobal University in 2008 along with his colleagues who share the same vision and commitment. IGlobal University is based in Northern Virginia (Annandale and Fairfax), near Washington, D.C., which is the political, economic, social, cultural, and technological center of the world.



IGlobal University was certified to operate in the Commonwealth of Virginia, U.S.A. by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) in January of 2009, and it was accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award Bachelors' Degrees, Masters' degrees and ESL Certificates.
